Get ready to crush the outdoor running season with RUN KLUB. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced runner, our program focuses on building the strength, agility, and endurance needed to run through all seasons. Facilitated out of Archetype, located in the JW Marriott, RUN KLUB combines mobility drills, upper and lower body strength training, and recovery strategies to help you perform your best on every run. Our goal is simple, to transform you into a more efficient, agile, and unstoppable athlete. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned runner, we’ll help you thrive in every stride.

MUKAI MAROMO - SPEED, POWER & STRENGTH  

A professional Muay Thai & Mixed Martial Arts fighter, Mukai is also a Health & Fitness Coach who possesses an extensive entrepreneurial background. According to Mukai, the discipline he learned through his involvement in various sports at an early age was the foundation for his success as an NCAA Track & Field athlete who specialized in the 400M and 200M races. His time in the NCAA not only reinforced the importance of maintaining a healthy mind and body, but also highlighted the importance of coaching, mentorship and comradery.

 

For RUN KLUB, Coach Mukai will be facilitating the Speed, Agility & Strength Training portions of the program. (Winter & Spring/Summer)

ALAN REID - LONG DISTANCE RUNNING, ENDURANCE & STRATEGY

Endurance Athlete and Community Leader Alan is a athlete with a diverse and impressive background in competitive and recreational sports. Over the years, he has completed five road marathons, two triathlons—earning a third-place finish in his age group at the provincial level—and has been a key participant in 10 team ultra marathons. His individual accomplishments include completing two solo ultra marathons, including the gruelling Canadian Death Race, a 118KM challenge with 4,700 meters of elevation gain and three mountain summits. Alan’s passion for endurance sports is matched by his commitment to fostering community and inspiring others to achieve their fitness goals.

Program Details

Running Group

Master efficient running mechanics with targeted drills designed to improve stride, balance, and coordination.

Movement Drills and Patterns

Develop the arm drive and posture needed for endurance and speed with strength exercises tailored for runners.

Upper Body Strength

Build power and stability in your legs to tackle hills, increase speed, and prevent injuries.

Lower Body Strength

Enhance your running efficiency and balance by focusing on a strong, stable core that supports every stride.

Core Strength

Improve posture and arm swing with exercises that loosen and strengthen the upper back and shoulders.

Thoracic Mobility

Unlock your full range of motion for better stride length and reduced injury risk through targeted hip-focused stretches and drills.

Hip Mobility

Boost your quickness and adaptability with agility exercises that prepare you for diverse terrains and running conditions.

Agility and Dexterity

Learn techniques like foam rolling, stretching, and active recovery to keep you injury-free and ready for your next run.

Recovery and Rehab Strategies

The program runs every Saturday from 11AM - Noon on the main turf. There is a 10 person limit, so first come, first serve. We will go through a structured group workout, and then all participants will receive weekly programming to help you stay on track
